Alan is a seasoned senior journalist with over twenty years of experience reporting on U.S. policy and government affairs. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Thomas discovered his passion for journalism while contributing to his college newspaper during his undergraduate studies. In addition to his reporting work, Alan is a passionate advocate for press freedom and frequently speaks at media ethics workshops and university seminars. He currently lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his partner and their teenage daughter.
